Overview - Paediatric Haemato-Oncology


The Division of Paediatric Haematology Oncology is one of the first units in India to be set up in an academic teaching hospital for the care of children with blood diseases and cancer. The children cared for include various types of anaemia and haemoglobin disorders, aplastic anaemia, bleeding disorders, platelet disorders, acute and chronic leukaemia and lympho-proliferative disorders. Solid tumours cared for include sarcomas (bone and muscle tumours), kidney tumours, liver tumours and other rare tumours.
