EPI DATA is a freely available data entry software, which allows you to create your own forms and database like Microsoft Access. EPI DATA gives a greater advantage over Excel and other similar databases in terms of data form creation, entry, adding value labels, creating new variables from the existing variables and also it allows one to give conditional check to the fields where data entry is restricted if the given condition is not met, which will immensely reduce the data entry errors and time spend on it. Additionally EPI DATA allows greater advantage in exporting the entered data in the formats of all major statistical software (SPSS,STATA,SAS) along with excel, csv and text formats, which reduces major time in data management during analysis.
