Other than the routine work of refraction and spectacle prescription, care of patients with common anterior segment diseases and posterior segment disesaes the department conducts multiple specialty clinics. These include Glaucoma clinic, Retina clinic Neuro-ophthal, ROP clinic and Pediatric-ophthalmology Clinic. The department is well equipped both in diagnostic and therapeutic equipment to diagnose and treat most Ophthalmic disorders including very complex conditions.

The PG programme is well sought after due to the regular and well planned teaching imparted to the post graduates.
