Initiated the Directly Observed Treatment, Short-course (DOTS) programme under the Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP) on a limited scale in Govindpur, Dhanbad. Led the establishment of treatment supervision mechanisms, patient follow-up systems, and community-based support to improve treatment adherence and ensure uninterrupted anti-tuberculosis therapy. This initiative contributed to strengthening local TB control efforts and laid the foundation for wider implementation of the DOTS strategy in the region.
