Project Description

This dissertation project assessed the incidence of reported domestic violence in Tiruverumbur Panchayat, Tiruchirappalli, as part of my Postgraduate training in Family Medicine. The study aimed to understand the prevalence, patterns, and socio-demographic factors associated with domestic violence, while highlighting its impact on the physical, mental, and social well-being of individuals and families. The findings contributed to strengthening awareness, early identification, appropriate referral, and the integration of domestic violence screening and support services into primary healthcare practice.
