Project Description

This research project explored the remuneration practices associated with laboratory and radiological referrals among General Practitioners in Tiruverumbur Panchayat, Tiruchirappalli, as part of my Postgraduate dissertation in Family Medicine. The study examined referral patterns, financial incentives, and their potential influence on clinical decision-making and ethical medical practice. The findings aimed to promote transparency, evidence-based referral practices, and adherence to professional ethics while supporting high-quality, patient-centered healthcare.
