Project Description

The Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP), implemented under the aegis of Damien Social Welfare Centre, Dhanbad, is committed to the prevention, early diagnosis, and effective treatment of tuberculosis (TB) through the Directly Observed Treatment, Short-course (DOTS) strategy. The programme focuses on ensuring uninterrupted treatment adherence, reducing TB transmission, promoting community awareness, and supporting patients throughout their treatment journey. By working closely with government health services and local communities, the centre contributes to improved case detection, successful treatment outcomes, and the national goal of eliminating tuberculosis while reducing the social stigma associated with the disease.
