The Department of Emergency Medicine

The course is designed to teach lifesaving skills required to be both a team member and a team leader in either an in-hospital or out-of-hospital setting. Time is often short, and decisions have to be made quickly during such emergencies. All hospital personnel involved in the care of emergency and critically ill patients, therefore, need to master these kills and review their knowledge constantly.

Course material BLS Provider Manuals will be provided. This course is designed to be practical with a minimum number of lectures, emphasis being placed on "hands on" training of the individual skills required. Resuscitation requires a team effort in which the role of team leader and team members are essential. These roles will be practiced in simulated scenarios.

Registration Details:

BLS Course (Only)

- Eligibility: Health care providers (Doctors/Dentists/Nurses/Paramendics/Physiotherapists/Alternative Medicine Practioners etc.)

- Fee: Rs. 4500/- (Excl. of 18% GST)

ACLS Course (Only)

-Eligibility: Health care providers (Doctors/ Dentists/ Nurses/ Paramendics/ Physiotherapists/ Alternative Medicine Practioners etc.)

- Fee: Rs. 12,000/- (Excl. of 18% GST)

NOTE: ONLY ACLS REGISTRATION CANDIDATE MUST PROVIDE PRINT OUT OF VALID BLS PROVIDER AHA CERTIFICATE

BLS & ACLS Courses

- Eligibility: Doctors(Allopathic only)/Dentists/Nurses

- Fee: Rs. 14,000/- (Excl. of 18% GST)

Venue: Skills Lab, St. John's Medical College, Bangalore- 560034 (May change, will be intimated)

Class Timings: 8.30 AM

Manual/Material: Postal(Rs 200/-) or Self pick up (to come to department with confirmation of payment)

It is the responsibility of candidates to ensure correct postal address or self-pickup. The department will not be responsible for any errors in postal address. If material is not picked one week prior to the course candidate will not be allowed attend the course. If the candidate does not attend the course rescheduling will be considered depending on availability of future dates.
