St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Brigade Meadows is inviting applications for the position of Medical Transcriptionist.
The Medical Transcriptionist responsibilities will include transcribing medical reports, summaries, office visit notes and other medical documents from recorded messages from health care providers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures and treatment assessments.
Ultimately, the role of the Medical Transcriptionist is to provide accurate and efficient transcription that will assist in the care of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Proven work experience as a Medical Transcriptionist.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and the various medical specialties as required in areas of responsibility.
• Excellent listening skills and ability to understand diverse accents and dialects.
• Ability to transcribe accurately, edit, and verify recorded dictation.
• Must be able to work in a structured environment and follow standard procedures and practices.
• High school diploma or associate’s degree in medical Transcription or related field preferred.
