Exploring the Power of Stories in Medicine: 8th Professor Prakash Shetty Public Lecture
St. John’s Research Institute invites you to the 8th Professor Prakash Shetty Public Lecture, held in memory of Professor Prakash Shetty — an outstanding teacher, researcher and polymath whose interests spanned basic medical sciences, history of medicine, philosophy, literature, politics, Indian culture and the arts.
This year’s lecture, titled:
“Why Stories Matter: The Tale at the Heart of Medicine”
will be delivered by Mr. Jerry Pinto, celebrated novelist, short story writer and poet, and recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award and the Windham-Campbell Literature Prize for Fiction.
