Job Summary:

This study is funded by BMGF. The study aims to establish a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to assess nutrient adequacy, determinants, coverage, quality, and compliance of fortified edible oil and milk, thereby enabling evidence-based improvements in fortification programming at national and state levels

Key Responsibilities:

Job summary: The Project Coordinator will oversee and coordinate the implementation of all project activities across field and laboratory sites. The candidate will ensure smooth coordination between investigators, field teams, laboratory staff, implementation partners, and district health authorities. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with willingness to travel extensively across project sites in Karnataka.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Implementation

  • Plan, organize, and oversee day-to-day project activities at the central and field levels.
  • Ensure timely implementation of project milestones in line with objectives. 
  • Develop and maintain project work plans, schedules, and reporting frameworks. 
  • Track project expenses and ensure proper utilization of funds.

Coordination & Supervision

  • Supervise and build the capacity of project staff and field teams.
  • Coordinate with technical partners, state governments, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate approvals and collaborations with institutions and government departments. 
  • Ensure adherence to study protocols, SOPs, ethical guidelines, and data quality standards.
  • Identify and escalate operational or systemic issues requiring higher-level intervention.

Research & Technical Support

  • Support development of research protocols, survey tools, and data collection instruments.
  • Monitor site surveys, household line listing, and all assessments planned.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

  • Track progress on project outputs and outcomes, ensuring compliance with donor/funder requirements.
  • Compile data summaries, prepare periodic progress reports, technical briefs, and manuscripts

Knowledge Management

  • Support preparation of academic publications
  • Prepare presentations, and dissemination of project outcomes. 
  • Assist in dissemination of findings through workshops, publications, and policy briefs
  • Coordinate overall project implementation across urban and rural field sites. 
  • Supervise and support field investigators and research staff involved in recruitment, surveys, interviews, and sample collection activities.
  • Monitor project timelines, field activities, and deliverables to ensure smooth execution of the study.

Eligibility Criteria:

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master of Public Health (MPH)/ Nutrition/Life Sciences/ Clinical research from a recognized institution. AND
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in public health research, community-based projects, or program coordination.

Preferred Language: English, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi
