Research Associate - THAAI Study Project

Job Summary:
The THAAI Project is a longitudinal cohort study investigating the maternal-infant health from early pregnancy through the first 1,000 days of a child’s life. It aims to identify determinants of birth outcomes to optimise infant growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for overall activities of the research project at the Division of Nutrition, SJRI. Key duties include:
· Actively recruit participants for the study. · Conduct and support all data collection activities, fieldwork, participant interviews, surveys, and nutritional assessments.
· Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the project database and assist in maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
· Assist with monitoring the quality of data and identifying discrepancies or inconsistencies.
· Provide technical assistance in setting up and calibrating research instruments and tools
· Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all project activities.
· Participate in regular field visits to monitor ongoing research activities and ensure adherence to research protocols.
· Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and manuscripts for internal and external stakeholders.
· Assist in other studies and activities of the Division of Nutrition.
Eligibility Criteria:
Preferred Qualifications: M.Sc. in Food Science and Nutrition
Experience: M.Sc. with minimum 1 year of experience
· Previous experience with study management.
· Good technical, analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with strong written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
· Ability to work both independently and in a research team.
· Attention to detail, time management, systematic work approach.
Preferred Language: English, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi
