The Felicitation and Handing Over Ceremony was held on April 11 at 11:00 AM in Lecture Theatre 1, SJMC, to honour the outgoing Vice Deans and formally welcome the newly appointed academic leaders.

The event commenced with a warm welcome, followed by the felicitation of the outgoing Vice Deans: Dr. Anuradha Ananthamurthy (Vice Dean MBBS), Dr. Mary Dias (Vice Dean AHS),, and Dr. Bobby Joseph (Vice Dean Out-Reach), in recognition of their dedicated service and valuable contributions to the institution.

The ceremony also marked the formal introduction and welcoming of the new Vice Deans/Principal - AHS: 

• Dr. Jayakumari S. (Vice Dean UG MBBS), 
• Dr. Shanthala Devi A. M. (Vice Dean AHS), 
• Dr. Binu Kurian (Vice Dean Out-Reach),
• Dr. Farha Naaz Fathima (Vice Dean Distance Education)
• Dr. Smitha J. S. M. (Principal AHS)

Rev. Fr. Ajith Mendez, Associate Director of Medical College & Research Institute (ADCR), addressed the gathering, encouraging the incoming office bearers with a powerful message that leadership is not an end, but a continuous journey; a race where the baton is passed on, made possible by the strong foundation and commendable work of those who have served before.

The Dean, Dr. George D’Souza, reflected on the institution’s remarkable growth, proudly recalling that what began as a single course has now expanded to over 45 courses across four academic institutions, highlighting the legacy and progress achieved over the years.

The felicitation ceremony was conducted by Associate Director of Hospital, Associate Director of Finance, ADCR, and the Dean, who collectively honoured the outgoing leaders for their commitment and service.

Rev. Fr. Tony, Associate Director of Finance (ADF), expressed appreciation for the contributions of the outgoing members and extended his encouragement and best wishes to the newly appointed team as they take forward the institution’s vision.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Avitha, Registrar, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, and attendees for their presence and support in making the event meaningful and successful.
