Trimester-wise Evaluation of Non-Transferrin Bound Iron (NTBI) in Pregnant Women receiving Iron Supplementation: A prospective cohort study
Project Description
This study aims to address the gap in understanding the trimester wise levels of NTBI in maternal and cord blood. This will help us understand if NTBI levels are normal or elevated in the course of pregnancy and in cord blood as a result of routine iron supplementation. This is important as elevated NTBI levels are associated with increased oxidative stress and adverse pregnancy outcomes
