CME – WORKSHOP ADVANCED SIMULATION TRAINING IN CRITICAL CARE (ASTRICC)

EVENT SUMMARY

 

 

ASTRICC was a 2 day workshop aimed at enhancing the training of Critical Care students and practitioners using an Advanced ICU Simulator. It included a number of interactive sessions covering core topics in Respiratory physiology, ventilator waveform interpretation, and use of non invasive methods like High Flow Nasal Cannula and Non-Invasive Ventilation. Participants had the opportunity to learn using an advanced simulator developed in collaboration with Indian Institute Of Science. Cardiovascular physiology lectures and simulations were also taken. Participants also had the opportunity to integrate what they had learnt through case based scenarios using the simulator.
