Excitement, fervour, and a deep sense of gratitude marked the Graduation Ceremony at St. John’s College of Nursing. The event was attended by esteemed dignitaries, faculty, and graduating students, creating an atmosphere of pride and accomplishment.

The programme commenced with an invocation, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Rev. Dr. Victor Lobo SJ, Vice Chancellor, St. Joseph’s University, Bengaluru, along with other dignitaries. The welcome address was delivered by Rev. Fr. Ajit Kerketta, Associate Director, St. John’s Medical College Hospital (SJMCH).

This was followed by the presentation of the Annual Report by Dr. Bindhu Mathew, Principal, St. John’s College of Nursing. A book release was subsequently held under the aegis of Prof. Susan Kumar, Vice Principal, St. John’s College of Nursing.

A presentation showcasing student life and the rich legacy of the institution formed a significant part of the programme. The ceremony then proceeded with the presentation of graduates, followed by the conferral of certificates by the Chief Guest, Rev. Dr. Victor Lobo SJ.

A total of 218 graduates were conferred their degrees, stepping into the world of care and service with commitment and compassion.

The administration of the oath was led by Prof. Sara Oommen, Chief of Nursing Services, marking a solemn and meaningful moment for the graduates. This was followed by the rendition of the St. John’s Anthem by the College Choir.

The programme continued with the felicitation of meritorious students in the presence of the dignitaries. The Presidential Address was delivered by Rev. Fr. Jesudoss Rajamanickam, Director, SJNAHS. Rev. Fr. Tony A.J., Associate Director of Finance, SJNAHS, then addressed the gathering, highlighting the vital role of alumni in contributing to the growth and legacy of the institution, and encouraging the graduates to remain actively connected and engaged.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Prof. Nisha C.K.
