St. John’s Celebrates PG Graduation Ceremony 2026
The PG Graduation Ceremony 2026 of St. John's Medical College was held on 13 May, 2026. A total of 163 students received their degrees during the ceremony. Among them, 24 graduates secured State and National University Ranks reflecting the institution’s continued pursuit of academic excellence.
The pass rate this year in specialty postgraduates was 94%, with 11 of the 116 students securing among the top 10 University Ranks, with 3 gold medals. Among the superspecialty and DNB super-specialty students, the pass rate was 100%, with 13 of the 44 students securing University and National ranks, with 5 gold medals. Dr Udata Pranavi (Family Medicine), Dr Honey Mol (Pathology), Dr Aneeta Shaji (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) secured state university gold medal and 1st rank, Dr Ruby Aleyamma Roy (Family Medicine) and Dr Swathi N (Transfusion Medicine) secured the 2nd rank and Dr Pragnya Sood (Community Medicine) secured the 5th rank in Karnataka. In the DM and MCh Courses, Dr Sanjan Rai K (Endocrinology), Dr Hrudya (Gastroenterology), Dr Chinthana L (Neonatology) and Dr Swetha C Nair (Pulmonary Medicine) secured state university gold medal and 1st rank. Dr Chaitanya H Balakrishna (Hematology) secured the prestigious DNB National Gold Medal.
Dr. Uday George Zachariah, Associate Director of Christian Medical College and alumnus of the 1990 batch of St. John’s Medical College, was the Chief Guest. In his graduation address, he encouraged the embryonic professionals to serve the humanity with passion and compassion. He also cited a few examples of how kind gestures can relive the word of care and combine it with the willingness to serve and become a beacon of transformation for many.
Rev. Fr. Jesudoss Rajamanickam, Director, St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences and other luminaries also graced the event.
