Job Summary:
The ongoing research projects at SJRI involves use of stable isotope based techniques to measure vitamin pool size, amino acids bioavailability, body composition, total energy expenditure and other project related activities such as screening/recruiting the participants for the ongoing studies. Collecting background information of the subjects as per the schedule provided by the coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:
- The candidates are also expected to review existing literature, draft summary reports as guided by the study coordinator for the activities linking to the Division of Nutrition.
- The candidates are expected to demonstrate proficiency in a variety of MS-based applications for the analysis of proteins/peptides/vitamins, hormones for identification and quantification. This position requires strong analytical instrumentation skills including operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mass spectrometers and HPLC systems. In addition, the candidate must be skilled in various sample preparation techniques and must be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Carry out sample analysis on GC-MS, GC-P/C-IRMS and LC-MS systems including data analysis & interpretation. Support method development and validation activities, sample preparation, chromatography, data acquisition, data analysis and data interpretation using a variety of mass spectrometry and software platforms.
- Preparing standard operating procedures (SOPs), operation, maintenance and repairs of equipment.
- Responsible for overall laboratory organization and management Contribute to building scientific support systems and resources.
Eligibility Criteria:
Preferred Qualifications: M. Sc in chemistry/ biology/ biochemistry/ biotechnology (or related field)
Preferred Language: English, Kannada
