ICMR – CCOE – Clinical Research & Training 

As an ICMR Center of Excellence (ICMR-CoE), our mission centers on generating, managing, and disseminating high-impact knowledge to combat Cardiovascular Disease (CVD), particularly among vulnerable and underserved populations. Since 1999, our extensive research network—spanning 230 centers and 90 cities—has engaged over 120,000 participants and produced 323 peer-reviewed publications in elite journals like The Lancet and NEJM. We excel in translational innovation; notably, 17 years of our clinical trial data led to the inclusion of the "Polypill" in the 2023 WHO Essential Medicines List. Beyond research, we are committed to capacity building, having trained 2,600 professionals across 11 countries and partnered with ICMR on numerous expert committees and workshops. Moving forward, we aim to strengthen our intervention packages and continue scaling low-cost, technology-driven strategies to ensure healthcare affordability and academic excellence across India and other LMICs.
