Dr. Alok Srivastava is an internationally recognized haematologist with over three decades of leadership in bleeding disorders, stem cell transplantation, and gene therapy. After his medical training at Christian Medical College, Vellore, and advanced specialization in Australia, he has gone on to shape haematology practice and research in India and across the Asia‑Pacific region.
At St. John’s, he leads both clinical services and research programs, with a strong focus on hemophilia, bone marrow failure syndromes, and cellular therapies. He has authored hundreds of peer‑reviewed publications in leading journals such as The Lancet, New England Journal of Medicine, Blood, and Haemophilia, and holds multiple patents in gene and cell therapy.
Dr. Srivastava has served in global leadership roles with the World Federation of Hemophilia, International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis, and Asia‑Pacific Blood and Marrow Transplantation Group. His contributions have been recognized with prestigious awards including the Inga Marie Nilsson Award (WFH, 2012) and the Esteemed Career Award (ISTH, 2024).
