Qualification/ Education

Sathyalakshmi has diverse experience in the fields of psychology, special education, research, and developmental intervention. 

Experience

She worked as a Special Educator at Sophia High School, Bengaluru, for one year and completed a four-month internship in Clinical Psychology at KIMS Hospital, Bengaluru. She has over four years of experience at CAREADD, working with children with developmental and behavioural needs. In addition, she served for two years as a Research Scientist (Psychology) in an ICMR-funded project. She is currently pursuing her PhD at Jain (Deemed-to-be) University, where her research focuses on the role of restricted and repetitive behaviours in predicting savant abilities among children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a member of the ComDEALL team, Sathyalakshmi is involved in developmental assessments and provides both individual and group intervention sessions for children. Her work focuses on psychological assessment, parent counselling, behaviour management strategies, home-based intervention planning, and projective assessments such as the Home Training Programme (HTP) technique. She is committed to working collaboratively with families to support children's developmental, cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
