Acceptability of a food product in children with Severe Acute Malnutrition
Project Description
An indigenous food product Bal Poshan Aahar has been designed for children with Severe Acute Malnutrition aged 0.5 to 5 years of age. The food product developed has been made with locally available and culturally acceptable ingredients. The aim of the study is to evaluate the acceptability of the food product among children with SAM in Raichur and Bangalore districts. At the same time preliminary plans using information, communication and technology (ICT) has been made for scale up at the next phase.
