Project Description
The objectives of the study include:
- To understand the health care needs and the healthcare access issues faced by the transgender community
- To explore the special circumstances faced by transgenders in relation to their health and healthcare
- To understand the awareness and attitudes of health professionals towards transgenders and their health issues and providing them with healthcare
- To identify and understand the factors in the social – cultural-political environment that act as enablers or as barriers in allowing transgenders the access to their right to health.
