Limited seats shall be reserved at 50 % concession of course fee for St Johns graduates currently practising in rural centers.
Goal
The goal of this course is to train practicing physicians in the application of a multidisciplinary holistic approach in the diagnosis and management of common medical problems in the elderly.
Duration
The PGDG program shall commence on April 15th, 2026, for a duration of one year.Candidates must complete the course within 3 years of date of enrolment.
Eligibility
1. All candidates must possess a valid MBBS degree certificate and a valid NMC /State Medical Council registration.
2. Candidates possessing higher degrees, diplomas or Fellowships can apply.
Course design
The course components include:
1. Self-learning online modules on core concepts in geriatric medicine (on learning management platform/ MS teams) with end of module assignments in the form of case based MCQs, short essays or reflective writing
2. Synchronous online teaching sessions
3. Two contact sessions at St. John’s Medical College Hospital for a total of 10 days
4. Project work
An exit exam will be conducted at the second contact session and is a mandatory requirement for course completion certificate.
